We now have a dog Zula insists is “adorable.” Not a puppy, mind you, but a decrepit rat terrier who has to be lifted in order for it to fulfill its purpose in life — sitting on laps and yapping. Though other body parts fail, its barker is in perfect working order.
Fifi moved in three days ago when poor Randolph Johnson checked into Shady Rest. . . the nursing home, not to be confused with the cemetery of that same name three miles further south.
Zula walks the silly thing around the block with great drama but has to stop every few feet to let the rodent-on-a-leash catch its breath. It’s the most ridiculous sight here at Sunset Paradise. She’s sewn several doggy garments for their outings — which would look a lot less ridiculous without the bedazzling, but at least they hide the bald patches.

The first one. Here's why: The second one isn't lap-able. I wouldn't want her in my lap because she looks like she would smell. Even though the first one doesn't look fat, she's a Drama Queen and would pant and pretend exhaustion on her walk just for the sake of drama.

I think the first one looks more rat-like and seems like it would have bald patches that needs to be covered. But they're both so-ugly-they're-cute.
Poor doggies, they both look like they need some TLC. The first one fits the description best. It says she has to be lifted, which doesn't necessarily means she is fat. My small dog has to be lifted because of a neck injury. Of course, you could be meaning fat, old or both. And in my opinion, the smaller the dog, the more annoying the yapping. Thanks for letting us join in the fun of helping you pick your Fifi.
After reading the other comments - which all make a lot of sense I have to choose number one. Dog number one really needs some cloths so it would be fun to dress-up. And in it's own mind she thinks she is the pretty princess waiting for a cute prince
